Arnold Karp

Arnold Karp is the founder of Karp Associates Inc., a Connecticut-based multifaceted firm specializing in professional construction management, real estate consulting and development, the building and development of distinguished custom homes and diverse, unique renovations. Additionally, the firm’s services have expanded to include project rescue for commercial and residential projects along with property management.

Arnold has been at the helm of Karp Associates for over 30 years, overseeing acquisitions, design, construction and project management. As the firm’s founder, he is most proud of the solid relationships he has established and maintained with his clients and professionals who have come to count on Arnold for his unparalleled advice and personal service. Over his numerous decades of experience, he has built a specialized network and collaborative team of experienced professionals in real estate including attorneys, architects, project managers and craftsmen to ensure the best advice combined with the finest quality custom building and remodeling for each Karp project.

For more than three decades, Arnold has been prominently involved in the Fairfield County business community. Prior to starting his own firm, he was the CFO of a privately held company in Connecticut with holdings in insurance, communications (radio stations) and real estate. Previous to that he was with Manufacturers Hanover Trust Company in New York City. Karp is also co-founder of Insight Laboratories, a consumer product testing business with offices in New York and Singapore.

Arnold graduated magna cum laude from Boston University School of Management with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He also received a Boston University Teaching Fellow Award and more recently the BU Distinguished Alumni Award. His professional affiliations include:

As a long-term resident of Fairfield County, Arnold’s commitment to the community extends far beyond his building projects. He has been a board member of a number of charitable and philanthropic endeavors which include The Mill River Collaborative, past Board President of the Stamford Museum and Nature Center, and a 16-year Board Member of the New Canaan YMCA. He has also been an active committee member of the Town of New Canaan Master Planning Committee, the New Canaan High School Building Committee and a founding member of the Chabad of New Canaan.

Arnold resides in New Canaan, CT with his wife, Lisa, and his three lovely daughters, Samantha, Danielle, and Alexa.
